Tattooed female jogger
This is a test shot made with my new Sigma 70-200 constant f/2.8 tele zoom on my new digital Canon Rebel XT. I shot it along the jogging path alon the harbor on a Sunday morning. The image is cropped vertically from a horizontal 8MP jpeg file. Just a bit of tuning of levels and very minor sharpening. That's all. This is a lo-res version. The lens covers a full 35mm frame. It is big and heavy, but boy is it sharp! And fast at f2.8. I checked out the smaller, lighter compact long zooms for the XT's size sensor, but all of them were inferior in quality when enlarged just a bit..

#8 Sin duda abril es el peor mes para estar sola. En abril, a mi alrededor, todo el mundo parecía feliz. La gente se quitaba los abrigos y charlaba en los rincones soleados, jugaba con la pelota, se enamoraba ... Yo estaba completamente sola en esta casa en ruinas, asomadada a mi ventana. Todos se habian alejado de mí. No tenia nadie a quien decirle "Buenos dias" u "Hola". Incluso echaba de menos a aquellos que solian enojarme... Cuando terminó abril, llegó el mes de mayo; mayo fué mucho peor que abril. En mayo, en plena primavera ya no pude evitar sentir como se estremecía y temblaba mi corazón. Solía ocurrirme al amanecer. En la pálida oscuridad, impregnada del suave aroma de las magnolias, mi corazón, sin previo aviso empezaba a henchirse, a estremecerse, a temblar, atravesado por un pinchazo. En estos momentos cerraba los ojos y apretaba los dientes con fuerza. Espe.
