Back to Nature
This is the back side of one of my nearest and dearest friends... I love how this turned out : ).
...turquoise one...
...still quite likin' the randomly painterly style...one more to go and then the background.....
..this'll fade colour slightly...
..I know it looks like a bruise right now...but it'll go more pink than magenta... ...plus it's made my arm swell and hurt like billy o.... ...I quite like the painterly style to these...stylised but look as if done in pastel too...I'm getting used to them....I'm looking forward to the turquoise...that's next on the agenda....

It is Hawaii's state flower and represents my island heritage and the pride I have in Samoa. The sea turtle, known as honu in Hawaii and laumei in Samoa stands for peace, longevity and the spirit within. There are many polynesian words that have entered the English language but perhaps the most widely used is tattoo. Exactly where and when the word "tattoo" originated is open to debate, but it is certain that it was a corruption of the polynesian word tatau, picked up by the early European sailors exploring the Southern Ocean. ...numero uno..bear with me...a bad pic I know...and there is a lot, lot more to be done...i.e...e.g...detail, shading, highlighting, colour, background...etc...etc...I've got a long way to go....but I'm kinda liking the bold hibscus look as it is....
