tattoo vines flowers I went to 15/365
I went to my garden plot this morning. My garden neighbor has a watermelon vine going OUT OF CONTROL; it's pulling down my tomatoes and my tomatillos and my raspberries (messing with my fruit?? now it's serious!). So I hacked those invading vines right out. I had to! It felt pretty good but I also had guilt. To ease my guilt I made a few of them into this fancy party hat for FGR (happy birthday Andrea!). In the large size you can see that, in addition to watermelon vines, there are tomatillo flowers, impatients cribbed from the front stoop, and some broccoli that'd gone to seed..

tattoo vines flowers I finally got My newest favorite tattoo!
I finally got my foot tattoo! I love, and plan to have the vine taken all the way around my ankle. I love the way it brings out my "me" butterflies...they belong together, already..

tattoo vines flowers Since my friend Wrist tattoo
Since my friend wanted to see it... The other wrist matches. When I was 18, I got the top part done - just the blue flower and the vine going horizontally across my wrist. It was one of those spontaneous tattoos that didn't really *mean* anything-- that I'd just gotten because I wanted a tattoo and thought it was pretty. Over the years I started to really dislike it, mostly because it was so meaningless. So I went to get the other two flowers added on to it. It has a smidgen of meaning now, at least! The colours of the flowers correspond with the colours of the bisexual flag. The blue represents attraction to the opposite sex, the pink = same sex, and the purple represents a merging of the two. Also, the fact that it's represented in the form of flowers and leaves (things from nature) is symbolic to me because I think the ability to love someone regardless of gender is natural..
