peace white tattoosCasey was absolutely a pro during these next few pictures. I had her in the rain, in the cold water, in squishy sand at the bottom of a little boat ramp in the sound. Chris was also in the water, holding an SB-800 camera left. Kendall was holding an SB-800 camera right, and I had my SB-800 on my stroboframe above the camera. It was so dark I had to guess at the focus (remember to bring flashlight for autofocus next time!) and the composition. All the work and discomfort was definitely worth it though; Casey and I love these pics! (Hope you do to).

peace and lovenew tattoo [via chris of deep roots seattle, wa]. some of you may look at this and see it as cheesy, or lame, or "emo" or whatever. frankly, i don't care what you think of it. to me, this heart means COMPASSION. it's not romantic love, it's human to human love. we need more. love thy neighbor. love strangers. be compassionate. it's hard. but we all gotta try. let's make this world better, eh? :)
