black fleur de lis tattooMy very first tattoo! I got this fleur de lis to honor my heritage and also remember my late daughter, Lillian Pearl. Also, my favorite flowers are lillies so everything just worked out. I had it a bit stylized and plumped up to give it some wonderful curves.

fleur de lis feet tattooThis is my second tat. I love them both. The plan was to get the tattoo in France but I didn't see any shops and I don't know France regulations for tattoos. I really didn't see many French with tattoos so it's either just not really a french thing, or the tattoo shops have something wrong with them. So I got my tat in the states and my foot is still attacked to my leg!
fleur de lis hurricane tattooHere's my tattoo I got in commemoration of my Spring Break 2006 trip to New Orleans. No, I didn't get drunk on Bourbon street or catch any beads. I worked with some of my colleagues and students to gut houses in the Nnth WArd heavily damaged by Hurricane Katrina.

fleur de lis tatto freePos eso, a quien no le guste que no mire... Mi nuevo tatuaje, una flor de lys con un dragón. Todavía está curándose... Además de que no se aprecia bien en la foto... Y más además que cuando se cure quiero volver a que me hagan un par de retoques... Quitando eso, estoy muuuy contenta con él. Lo adorooooo, cada vez me gusta más (aunque al principio me veía rara...). Por cierto, la flor de lys es porque es mi símbolo, la flor de iris, e incluso antes de saberlo, era un símbolo que ya me gustaba. Iba a ser mi primer tatuaje, pero mi rosa de los vientos con el ying yang le ganaron el puesto, y decidí reservarme la flor de lys para más adelante... Y lo del dragón, es algo más friki XD Pd: Ya me haré fotos decentes cuando lo tenga curado.
