This is the first step of getting the tat, thin the forest a little..

The first set of shading/color filled in. Somewhere around this time, the tattoo artist tells me that the most painful places to get a tat are the inner thigh and the neck. The next most painful spot is the chest plate. That would be right where this tat is.... I was thinking, "I started this, I am going to finish it." I had to take a break though..

A better shot of the outlined tat..

The rest of the yin and yang symbol filled in..
P1000138
Half of the yin and yang symbol and a part of the jewel has been colored..

OK, that didn't work as well as planned. Break out the razor and do it the old fashioned way..

My first (and currently only) tattoo. It did hurt. I won't lie to anyone about that. And it got worse for me when he went near an area that had already been inked. So when the tattoo artist put multiple colors (layers) in the jewel, I was a bit touchy about it. All in all, it wasn't a bad experience. I would recommend the tattoo artist to anyone contemplating a tat. I'll include a shot after the tat heals..

A good, but overexposed, shot of the completed tat..
