It's not even animal crueltyy My dog has a tattoo that the breeder gave him ... like a number that's registered to him like a microchip, but not. And they do that thing too where when you fix cats they cut part of their ear off ... what's the difference? They'll fucking live

If you think that this is any sort of humane way to treat an animal, to subject them unwillingly to what is essentially torture, you should man up and send a photo of this to the ASPCA or Humane Society. Hopefully there'll be repurcussions for your actions, because if it's you that did this, I can't say that you don't deserve 'em, man.

actually you guys are wrong...breeders of pure breads do that...they either tattoo insude the ear, or the belly of the dog, so if it gets lost, u have the numbers assigned to it, and ur name is filed under the numbers in kennel clubs ect..now adays the micro chip is becomming more popular because ppl who steal pure breads have been cutting the ears off, or burning the bellies of animals, so the ink is gone and cant be detectedd...its not in humane, most vets offices, and some spca's actually do it...Its very common, look it up..~!

In Australia, ALL pets that are de-sexed are given a tattoo to show this. Who ever thinks this is animal cruelty is rediculous, because it is done by vets after the operation. I am an Animal Science student, studying to be a vet, and it is NOT animal cruelty.

Monique...you are correct, our pets are inked after being de-sexed BUT they are knocked out at the time. In years to come I will be very cautious of vet's called Monique!

How is this animal cruelty? I'm a huge animal lover and that's is not animal cruelty. Every dog I've had and seen usually has a tattoo in their ear from the vet, like everyone else is saying. Plus, this cat doesn't look too abused does it?

Any of you ever been to a farm?? ha wow...cattle aand horses get tattoos (horses on their lips, cattle in the ear) they also get tags put in their ear and branded...animal cruelty NO ...a way of identification to take care of the animal YES! tail and ear docking...now thats another issue...

Ok thats not animal cruelty a cat is an animal we are animals if we can get tattoos then a cat can too and im 15 so i have a different view of animals too and that is totally not animal cruelty
