Wing tattoo
New tattoo- done yesterday. I sketched it out and gave it to my tattoo artist Bill Byers. Bill translated it to something that would work on skin. The wing is derived from Albrecht Durer (one of my 2 favorite artists.) Of course, if you know me even a little you also know this tattoo recalls several myths. (Achilles, Hermes, Perseus and the Norse Baldr, plus the "golden bough" mistletoe, which was sacred in many pre-Christian religions including Norse, Scandinavian, Celt, Greek, Roman, Mesopotamian and African.) The tattoo takes up the entire left side of my right calf. I'm psyched!!!!!! Thank you, Bill!.
