This was one of the shots I took on last week's shoot at Changi Beach with Rajashree. For her personal project, she wants a series of self portraits portraying different themes that apply to her own journey of self discovery. This one depicts kama, love, lust, sensuality. Both of us think that one of the most sensual places of a woman is the small of her back. The space in which a man can place his arm and guide her with. It doesn't hurt that she has a tattoo in that area too, bonus points (in my opinion). If you look closely, it's a DNA strand. Rajashree would you like to explain it? I'll let you have the honour to. I say this is wicked large.

Heh. We had just done a shoot beneath some very hot lights, so Ellie wandered off for a shower. Suddenly I heard an incredibly loud shriek from the bathroom. I ran in, camera still around my neck, to find her huddled away from the water; it was freezing, she had forgot to flip the hot water switch! We got it working, she jumped back in and I took one quick snap before she started splashing water at me. This is how it came out. For a dslr snapshot , I'm quite happy with it..

finally got around to scanning the black and whites negatives from this shoot. The film was ISO 3200 for these, so it was nice to have the freedom to go hand-held and ditch the tripod that i was using for the color slides..
