Tattoo Rose
My second ever attempt at creating an image that was part black and white and part colour. I think this works quite well, but I may need to practice some more :p.
It's real...honest
I keep catching a glimpse of it in the mirror and thinking "what's that?" - LOL! My stomach/hip tattoo done 2 weeks ago, now healed very nicely. We still have to go back in and put a soft drop shadow under it to make it look like it's sitting on the skin. My best friend Kevin Totton is training to be a tattoo artist (after 8 years as a graphic designer and illustrator...he is hugely talented) so I'm the main volunteer. He's shaping up pretty damn well :-) Apologies for the slightly out-of-focus naff photo here, didn't have the self-timer set to the right distance when it went off...oops. Better pic soon I promise!.
365 Day Challenge - Day 169 16/01/09
So I finally got my side tattoo :D Fuck me did it hurt though!!! The guys in Rob's were really nice and made me feel comfortable, but that failed to distract me from the paaaaaain!!! Totally worth it though ;) Before getting the tat I went to college and had my 'duties' lesson which turned out to be SHIT as I had to help brush off a dusty pallet which had spiders on it..... ...then something fell down my fucking top causing me to freak out cos I had suspicions it was a spider, so I started hitting myself to squish it and get it out!!!!! All the way home I was itching and freaking out and when I got home I went ot get changed and noticed a black thing on my hip.......A FUCKING SQUISHED SPIDER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :'( NOT impressed! *NOTE: The tattoo is on my left side - this is a reflection in the mirror!*.
365 Day Challenge - Day 170 17/01/09
Woke up this morning (well, afternoon) and my back was hurting because all night i've to sleep in an awkward position so's not to hurt my side! Still sore (obviously) and having a shower was quite painful but i'm still so proud of it!! Going to Ben's mum's for dinner in a bit so I better go and get ready.....xxx.
365 Day Challenge - Day 176 23/01/09
Tattoo's starting to look relatively normal now, still a few patches of scab and dead skin but really pleased with the way it looks - was well worth the pain and expense!.
