so i went for my tattoo today but came out with out a tattoo. the artist was running slightly late (i watched him doing a design based on the calvin & hobbes snow art on this chap's arm - it was awesome) and then we spent an hour pouring through books (a plant book and a couple of art and tattoo books) so that he could get a clear idea of what i wanted in his mind. once he'd established a style he attacked me with sharpie markers to decide on the layout and detail of the design. i'm now covered in yellow orange and brown felt pen. and already i love it. the flowers will be red shaded down to orange and the foliage two shades of green. hopefully i'll be getting the actual ink done first week in june..
