For the record, she is standing on a public farm road. A seldom used road however. Farm roads are what Kaufman County calls roads that they do not feel like paving. It's code for.. "You'll probably get stuck unless you are in a tractor or a 4X4." The likelihood of someone coming from the other side of the road, or even from the side behind us was very low. Worst road ever! The only people who drive down that road anymore are the ranchers who have pastures there, rednecks out 'mudding', and teenagers on the weekend to party. Just to get to the spot we were at I had to get out of the car and walk ahead while CC reversed to make sure she didn't drive in too deep a rut. At one point I found some bones and screamed, she jumped out and ran over and we agreed the bones were from an animal and not human. By the way.. for those taking notes...CC is 3 months pregnant in this photo... and it was .
Crack Attack
Pardon the bum crack, but you can't see the whole piece without suffering the crack. Took 6 1/2 hours. 2 1/2 for the outline, 2 1/2 for shading and 1 1/2 for more shading. It's not quite finished yet..

Truth be told, so help me God, apparently He or She did, because otherwise I wouldn’t be here with you, lying naked on a naked bed in some flea-bag of a motel, lying bare and vulnerable, my greatest frailties now being mere fodder for your “art.” Honestly, it almost feels like open-heart surgery in a way, except that it is your lens that is slicing me open this time, exposing me to everyone. Funny how I seemingly often find myself in these same compromising positions. Oddly enough, ever since the surgery I tend to think about lying down, lying naked, lying still—a lot. I often dream about lying, as well, as well; lying often, lying still, lying re.
