It's a bird! It's a plane! Oh, no, wait, it's totally a bird.
My newest tattoo, a work in progress courtesy of Tim Biedron of Deluxe Tattoo . I've always loved the traditional eagle - on - chest tattoo motif, but the aggressive jingoist sentiment isn't something I'm down with. Changing the bird to a dove makes for not only a winking deconstruction of the trope, but a compelling and beautiful piece of work. I have several more sessions scheduled with Tim, to do the coloring. I can't wait!.

I had this done two days ago. I went white and am very happy with the results. The red will go away in a week or two..

White ink tattoo
I got a white ink tattoo two weeks ago. It's still not completely healed, but the redness has significantly gone down. I'm not 100% pleased with the spacing of the wings, but I LOVE the white. Not one person has mentioned noticing my new tattoo. White ink is very personal and I love that..
