Dixy Suicide - Model #359513
Dixy Suicide shoot. More High Key shooting. The shoot went really well, great model, and some great poses. Lighting wise there was 2 large bowens softboxes towards the front of the studio pointed directly at the background. Two small flashes with diffusers to the left and right to blow out the backdrop and another softbox coming into the right hand side. The studio was Contrast Photography in Glasgow. This set were in the style of suicide girls but these wont be on the website. Dixy is Model Mayhem model #359513 The props for this shoot were a cheap £3.99 argos kids swimming pool, 3Kg of Fizz Bombs (red and green sweets), A selection of cakes from gregs, and quite a gothic chair from the other end of the studio. The roler skates were a great prop too although there was quite a bit of falling about..

Tattoo
Tattoo on the back of a girl who also appears in the previous two photos in my stream. I'm actually really interested in photographing tattoos, both on people, and in the process of being put on people—people actually under the needle, and the tattoo artists at work. But I don't know any of the local tattoo places, and haven't worked up the nerve to introduce myself. Being totally un-tattooed, myself—and definitely determined to remain so&#151makes it a little extra difficult. Anyway, I'm grateful that this girl let me photograph her tattoo. The photo came out surprisingly good, I think. I've processed it into a warm grey duotone with custom curves. I also spent more time working on getting the right grey tones than I usually do. I was very directly and immediately inspired by the fantastic tones in Velvet G's recent self-portrait . His photo made me realize I'm just not getting .

Day 280: Head-Over.
View On Black . A lot of people have asked what comes next. The answer? We don't know any better than you do. I know that I met this amazing, funny, sweet person, and I'm completely wild over her. That I've had her in every minute of my life for the last week, and that every minute felt right. And that tomorrow everything changes. After that? I really can't say. I wish I knew. Really, we're taking it minute by minute and sometimes it feels like we're spinning out of control. We say our strange goodbyes and go back to phonecalls and webcams - the technologies that once seemed fresh and exciting are a step backward; a step apart. It's going to be hard. I know that much. I'm hoping a California trip is in the cards. But I can only see as far as Monday. School begins. Xelia will be gone. We're left with memories and marks; a cold spot in the bed where someone is missing..
