The outline is complete. I had been doing OK through this part of the tat. I thought that if the rest of the tat was going to be the same as the outlining, I would not have any problems at all.....

The first set of shading/color filled in. Somewhere around this time, the tattoo artist tells me that the most painful places to get a tat are the inner thigh and the neck. The next most painful spot is the chest plate. That would be right where this tat is.... I was thinking, "I started this, I am going to finish it." I had to take a break though..

My first (and currently only) tattoo. It did hurt. I won't lie to anyone about that. And it got worse for me when he went near an area that had already been inked. So when the tattoo artist put multiple colors (layers) in the jewel, I was a bit touchy about it. All in all, it wasn't a bad experience. I would recommend the tattoo artist to anyone contemplating a tat. I'll include a shot after the tat heals..
