an impromtu tattoo
I'd gone to the tattooists to get a big peacock done - however - as my original appointment had been to get a smaller tattoo done I couldn't get the peacock done. So I went with the wrist one. It's a lotus flower (this is upside down obviously) - I LOVE IT! The funny thing is, I was watching it being done, feeling fine. The pain was completely bearable (didn't really hurt that much - after all I've had blood gases taken with needles being wiggled around in my veins time and time again) - however my brain didn't think it was so easy. I started whiteying - then I projectile vomited everywhere! I was SO shocked! I don't feel pain a lot - unfortunately my brain does and over-rides anything I'm feeling physically. They were so lovely about it though - it's my mate's boyfriend's parlour and they were just pissing themselves laughing! It was impressive vomiting though. Can't wait for the.

Auricular Design in a Tattoo.
Tattoo by Denise de la Cerda. Wearer- Mark Ciecko. This black and grey swirl is meant to flow gracefully with the form of Marc's arm and chest, and be non-objective while also not being abstract. Auricular patterns were used in the seventeenth century to decorate fine art objects. The shapes were taken from the shapes of the tiny bones inside the head, used for hearing. Thus the term "Auricular"..
Auricular Design in a Tattoo, continued.
Tattoo by Denise de la Cerda. Wearer- Mark Ciecko (continued). As the pattern moves onto Mark's pectoral, it becomes more Victorian, design elements having been snatched from leaves, buds, and flowers. Hand of Glory Tattoo, Brooklyn, 2006..
